Exhibitor and sponsor terms

These terms summarise the rules every exhibitor, sponsor and speaker agrees to. Full booking terms will be issued with each contract.

1. The cancer claims rule

Nothing at the summit, on this website, or in any stand, handout, banner, talk, listing or advertisement may say or imply that a product, therapy, retreat or service treats, cures or prevents cancer.

The Cancer Act 1939 makes it a criminal offence to advertise an offer to treat cancer or to prescribe a remedy for it, and the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising (CAP Code) prohibits such claims. This applies whoever you are and whatever your evidence.

Describe your work in terms of:

• support, comfort and wellbeing;
• quality of life, during or after treatment;
• recovery support and rehabilitation alongside NHS or medical care.

We check website listings, stand materials and session content before and during the event. We may ask you to change or remove anything that breaks this rule, and may close a stand without refund if it is not removed.

2. Other health claims

All claims must be truthful, supported by evidence and follow the CAP Code, including its rules on medicines, medical devices, health and nutrition claims. Prescription-only medicines may not be promoted to the public on Day 2.

3. Respect for visitors

• Many visitors on Day 2 are patients, survivors or in recovery. No high-pressure selling.
• Do not ask visitors for medical information, and collect personal data only with clear consent and in line with UK data protection law.
• Follow the safeguarding and accessibility guidance in the exhibitor manual.

4. Awards independence

Sponsoring an award never gives access to scores, judges or results.

5. Payment

A 50% deposit is due at signing, with the balance due 60 days before the event. Prices are shown excluding VAT.
